Campus Drinking Water Quality Study

UTD Green Fund student-led research initiative (Fall 2026)

We are assembling a student team to test drinking water quality across campus for PFAS, lead, and other contaminants, survey the campus community on willingness to pay for improvements, and conduct a cost-benefit analysis of treatment options. We need students from three areas:

• Environmental Science — field sampling, lab coordination, data interpretation
• Social Science / Economics / Public Policy — survey design, econometric analysis
• Engineering — water treatment costing, cost-benefit analysis
